Building A Networking Business Using Christian Principles

Casting The Net - 2008™

There is a change going on in America. There is a call to bring back the Christian principles that our country was built on. We see it in the platforms of presidential candidates such as Governor Mike Huckabee and other conservatives that are getting the mainline Christians to stand up for what they believe in...its time for change. I find it interesting that 7 out of 10 people in this country profess to believe in God, a creator. Yet, at every election, less than 30% of Evangelical Christians vote. If we could just get 50% to show up at the polls we would shut down most of the anti-Christian bills that are passed every year...its time for a change. When God is pulled out of our schools, our public assemblies (sporting events) and the way we conduct our government, just to name a few, we should expect the chaos and problems that occur in our country. The ACLU represents less than 10% of the voice of this country, yet they are controlling the spirit of our great land...its time for a change.

I believe that the same spirit of bringing back the basics and good Christian work ethics needs to happen in the Network Marketing community. The Internet is out of control and the networking marketing community is suffering because of it. True networking is about people communicating with people, its about sharing products and opportunities. It's not about the money, that is a by-product of good networking. Its about making friends and building relationships that last a lifetime. Its about caring for the people you work with and treating them with the respect you would an extended family member. Its about honesty, being trustworthy, and helping a friend in need to rise above the trials and tribulations that people face.

The Internet has changed the way people live their lives, from age 7 to 90. Think about it...could you imagine living in a world without the Internet? It has changed how we all think. We can find what we want instantly, with just the click of a mouse. No one wants to get rid of it, but we need to bring to it a strong Christian-based set of principles that will not permit the kind of activity that goes on. We cannot stop pornography, gambling, and all the crime that goes on the Internet anymore than we can stop it on the streets of our city. But, we don't have to stand by and do nothing. We need to build a strong Christian presence on the Internet.

We have millions of Christians involved in network marketing in America alone. Yet, how many of these Christians speak outwardly about running their business based on Christian principles. How many of them pray before conference calls, meetings, and other functions. It is not done because we don't want to offend anyone who is not Christian. If I went to a country that was predominantly Muslim, I would not be offended if they practiced their religion in front of me. That is their right. I would expect it. As a matter of fact, if you moved to a Muslim country and try to stop them from practicing their faith or try to sue them for violating your rights as a Christian, you would be killed! The Koran lays out exactly what to do to infidels that try to change the faith of Muslims. What if Christians elected the same stand in this country. I think that all of Islam would have more respect for us if we took a strong stand.

So, why do we as a Christian nation, hide our faith. I for one, am no longer going to sit around and do nothing. I have been praying a lot about this and it seems to me the reason why so many Christians are not successful in their online businesses is because of the lack of Christian principles... Its time for a change.

There is a perfect example of this in the Gospel of John 21:1-6. Jesus had appeared to them in the upper room after his resurrection but was not with them at this time. Peter and some of the other disciples decided to go fishing, after all that is what they had been all their lives before they met Jesus. They fished all night and caught nothing. These proud fisherman had their egos hurt because they did not caught one fish! Have you ever felt that way?... work all day and not sponsor one person, maybe its been a week or a month since you have sponsored anyone? Back to the Scriptures, Jesus yelled to them from the shore "Do you have any food to eat?" They did not recognize that it was Jesus and said "No, we have nothing." Jesus said to them "Cast the Net on the other side and you will find some?" They caught so many fish that the net almost broke. They caught 153 fish in the net. Its time for us to Cast our Nets on the other side and change what we have been doing.

When we listen to the Word of God and follow his principles, we will have great abundance as we cast our nets. This is a perfect example of doing things on our own or listening to the Lord for guidance. One of my goals for this year is to release my new training series call "How to Profit from Network Marketing without Losing Your Soul!™" which will be a training series on how to build a business based on using Christian principles and how to rally the Christians of this world who are networkers to join our fight for a better Internet and networking industry. We will change the way things are, one person at a time, but we will change it. "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us" Phil 4:13. Look for the opening of my new Christian Social Networking website "NetworkersInChrist.com" in 2009. . This will be a great gathering place for all of us to learn and share with each other.
