Building Your Business Using Christian Principles Have you ever felt guilty about spending too much time building your business? Have you had a hard time balancing your business between your prayer and Bible study time? It can be a problem if your focus is not on your Christian walk first. From the moment you were conceived in your mother's womb, God has had a plan for your life. God not only has a plan for you, but for every client and coach in your group... whether they're believers or not. God created us all. If you will start your day in God's word and thank him for the people he is going to put you in front of that day to share the TSFL program, you will be successful. Do you want to start each day guessing what God wants for your life or actually knowing what his will is? Think about it...how much more powerful would your life become if God spoke to you and said "My will for you is to build a large organization of clients and coaches to help stop the obesity problem in America help others succeed in my name!" You would be on fire to accomplish that which God has told you to do. God is not against his children having wealth, but wealth can become an idol where your focus is on the wealth and not on God. This creates a greed filled heart and that is a sin. The Bible says we are to use Jesus as an example in everything we do. Before Jesus started his ministry he studied God's word and shared it with the teachers in the temple from his youth on. Jesus was so full of God's word, that the word flowed from his lips every time he spoke. People listened and most became followers of what he taught. Why did they become followers? Was Jesus selling a new hot product that would heal them from sickness? Was he offering great wealth to those that followed him?... No! The people followed him because He spoke the truth, they believe him and wanted to be a part of his group. Jesus attracted people to him because of who he was and how his teaching changed lives. My friends you can change people lives too; through Christ. Its time for a wake up call. The truth about building a business is that people really don't care about what company you represent, how good your products are or how much money you promise them they can make; what they care about is changing their lives for the better. People want to be healthy, with more free time, a better relationship with their families, living a life of successes instead of failures. People did not get an education and wait their whole lives just to own a referral-based business. Yes, owning a coaching business can be a wonderful thing, but it is not one of those things kids dream of being when they grow up, like being a doctor, policeman, GI Joe, or pastor! So, why would someone want to join your team? People will follow you if you teach them the truth, as Jesus did. Teach them how to build a business based on Christian principles of honesty, caring, helping each other, loving each other as brothers and sisters, sharing our success with others and helping those that are less fortunate. Always seeking business attributes that add quality of life to people rather than taking it away through deceitful practices. People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. When Jesus started his ministry, he would meet 12 men and ask them to follow him; his only promise was he would make these fishermen...truly, fishers of men. The whole focus of their ministry would be to learn from Jesus and teach the truth to all of the world. Today there are 2.8 billion Christians in the world. I would say that people do care about the truth. The whole Christian family today was built upon personal testimony and sharing the truth. As a Christian, that should be the foundation of your business too! If you want a successful coaching business, you must first put God in charge of your business. Always promise to be truthful and honest in all you do, build a coaching business that will help people grow in God's word and in successful business practices at the same time. People buy you, not the products your company sells. Make sure you are worth the price they are paying.
